Reflected - Becky

So here I am. My name is Becky. When I began writing this blog in the early summer of 2010, I was living and working in Germany. I was twenty years old and studying French and German at Newcastle University. Fast-forward a couple of years and I have graduated from university, and am "one of the lucky ones", which roughly translates to "I have found a job". England is where I call home, but I have spent time living in France, Spain and Germany. However, for the time being at least, I'm back in the North East. I'm working on a tomato farm, which is the obvious thing to do with a languages degree, I'm sure you will agree!

What do I enjoy? Being outside whether there's sun or rain (although the sun is clearly preferable), and walking on windy days. Yoga. Dancing, especially when nobody can see. Looking for the beauty of things. Anything creative - photography, cookery, making jewellery, sewing, drawing, music, writing..... Theatre and independent films, art galleries and libraries, good books and interesting teas. Oh, and day-dreaming. I love to day-dream.

I'm reliable and dependable, organised but messy, insecure and loving, intelligent and colourful, friendly and caring, good at keeping secrets and good at giving hugs. I have never been a "bad girl", and although I sometimes wonder what it might have been like, I wouldn't change me. I like to be passionate about things and people that matter and I am full of love to give, and usually it makes me happy, and sometimes it makes me sad, but if I feel strongly about something it's because I care, and I reckon that can only be a good thing in the end.
